Hickory

Hickory came to the ranch in 2022 as a retired reining and cutting horse at the age of 6. Unfortunately, Hickory coliced earlier in the year and his colic surgery left him with an incredibly large hernia that deemed him to no longer able to compete in the fast, athletic world of reining. Hickory came to live at the ranch in December 2022 and in January 2023, we made the decision to take him to surgery to repair the enlarged hernia for his quality of life at the ranch. Hickory continues to be on stall rest for a few more weeks and will then be transitioned to the herd when he is entirely healed. Hickory has such a young, energetic spirit! He explores and is inquisitive about everything! He adores attention and is full of charisma. We are excited to see his bright future at Reigning Grace Ranch.
