Discover how sponsoring a horse can make a real difference in a child’s life

For the past 12 years, Reigning Grace Ranch has run almost entirely on the gifts and donations of supporters, volunteers and friends. We do not rely on government funding to provide the services of rescuing equine in our state or providing a haven for hope and healing to our children and families that drive through the gates daily. These lives, both human and horse are changed and miracles happen, because of supporters like you. Ordinary people, doing extraordinary things.

Our mission: Bringing hope to our community

Horses are not an inexpensive way of teaching life skills or providing therapy, but they are proven to be very effective. Many therapists that have worked with horses and clients will commonly say that they can accomplish healing and breakthroughs with a child in 3 sessions or less when the horse is a partner — as opposed to, meeting in an office setting where it may take up to 12 sessions.

Reigning Grace Ranch receives horses from all walks of life and many are owner-surrenders. From work done with Maricopa County Sheriff’s department on horse neglect cases to retired horses that have had a professional career in the equine industry to horses being rescued from slaughter — one thing is certain — when a horse comes to Reigning Grace Ranch, they are loved, they are safe, and they are cared for.

With your help, we can build a better future

The children that are in sessions at the Ranch are typically faced with difficult situations at home. From foster care, blended families, eating disorders, social anxiety, depression, addictions, physical or cognitive disabilities, our children are loved right where they are and given “wings to fly” (tools to address their individual problems) at Reigning Grace Ranch.

Research has shown that animals have a multitude of positive effects on their human counterparts. To name a few, animals can lower blood pressure, lower heart rate, help ground and release pressure from the stresses that our children are faced with daily. A five-year-old should never have thoughts of suicide and depression — but we often find that they do.
